PanARMENIAN.Net – On April 18, a protest will be staged in The Hague
against Turkish President Abdullah Gul’s visit to the Netherlands.

Inge Drost, coordinator of Federation of Armenian Organizations of
Netherlands (FAON) told PanARMENIAN that Kurds, Assyrians and Turks
will also participate in the action.

The organizers will hold posters condemning Turkish policy towards
national minorities, Genocide denial and allegations of violations
of human rights and freedom of speech.

The President of Turkey will visit the Netherlands on the occasion
of 400th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between
the Ottoman Empire and the Netherlands.

Earlier, Armenian organizations issued a letter to the country’s
parliament expressing protest against celebration of the date.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
