BAKU: Azerbaijani Film Festival Failed To Take Place In Gyumri Again

AZERBAIJANI FILM FESTIVAL FAILED TO TAKE PLACE IN GYUMRI AGAIN

Baku. Viktoria Dementyeva – APA. The festival of Azerbaijani films
failed to take place in Gyumri again.

APA reports quoting Armenian media that about 50 young people,
parents of the Armenians killed during the occupation of Azerbaijani
territories blocked the entrance to Asbarez club with slogans “No to
Azerbaijani films festival!”.

The protesters entered the club and held talks, the organizer of the
event chairman of the Caucasus Center of Peace-Making Initiatives
Georgi Vanyan said if he is allowed to leave the club, the films will
not be demonstrated. The protesters threw eggs at Georgi Vanyan’s car.

The Caucasus Center of Peace-Making Initiatives planned to hold similar
festival in Yerevan in November, 2010, the event failed to take place.
