AZERBAIJANI FM REMINDS UN RESOLUTIONS AND INTERNATIONAL LEGAL NORMS TO ARMENIAN MP PROTESTING THE OCCUPATION FACT

Baku. Parvin Abbasov – APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar
Mammadyarov raised an issue on occupation of Azerbaijani territories
at the meeting of Euronest Parliamentary Assembly’s Committee on
Political Affairs, human rights and democracy, APA reports.

The minister said that the settlement of the conflict was possible
only within territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Armenian MP Naira Zohrabyan protested the speech of Azerbaijani
minister: “We know the occupation only of Shaumyan and Mardakert
regions and do not recognize another occupation”.

Azerbaijani MP Asim Mollazadeh asked Mammadyarov the reason of
non-observance of resolutions of international organizations, as well
as the UN on the liberation of Azerbaijan’s occupied territories:
“Maybe these are not documents, but ordinary papers?”

Mammadyarov responded Armenian MP as follows: “I understood that
Armenian MP protests here my words on occupation of Azerbaijani
territories by Armenia. But I haven’t said anything new. I spoke about
the facts in UN resolutions. Aren’t they real documents? You may not
agree with it, but it was confirmed by the international legal norms”.
