The “New Times” party will not take part in the parliamentary election
in Armenia, the leader of the party, Aram Karapetyan, said at today’s
press-conference.

“The parliamentary elections in Armenia have never changed anything.

No significant changes happen in the political, economic or social
sphere after the elections and will never happen. There are two ways
for changes – elections and revolution. We will not choose the way of
the election”, – Karapetyan said and added that the people of Armenia
have already ripened for the revolution, and the middle layer of the
society will start it.

For his part, a member of the parliament from the ruling Republican
Party of Armenia, Manvel Badeyan, did hot agree to his opponent and
said that the Armenian society will never develop according to the
Arab scenario and risk for uncertainty. “The New Times party refuses
to take part in the election, as it understands that they will be
on the losing side. I welcome realism of the party, but it is not
serious to speak about the revolution”, – Badeyan said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
