YEREVAN. – Pension payments for deceased pensioners and for those
outside Armenia will be excluded, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs,
Arthur Grigoryan, said on Tuesday.

As per the Minister, this will now be possible thanks to the online
pension system, which will start in June 2012. In line with this
system, if a pensioner dies, his/her relative records will be sent
to the pension system’s database.

And if a pensioner leaves Armenia, the border checkpoints will send
this information likewise to the united database. But Arthur Grigoryan
added that the given pensioner will not be deprived of the pension,
but he/she will receive it only when returning to Armenia.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
