SERGEY MINASYAN: ELECTION RESULTS TO INFLUENCE BOTH INTERNAL POLITICAL LIFE AND FOREIGN POLICY

I think the parliamentary election will be the most important
political event in 2012, political expert, Deputy Director of the
Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan told a Panorama.am reporter.

According to him, the election results will influence both Armenia’s
internal political life and the foreign policy.

“If the election is held properly, the authorities will get significant
levers which they can use in the regional policy,” said the expert.

No breakthrough is expected in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and in
Armenia-Turkey rapprochement process in 2012, as predicted by the
expert.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
