Turkish group hacks French politician’s website
ISTANBUL – Hürriyet Daily News
A Turkish cyber group hacked French politician Patrick Devedjian’s
website in protest of the recent French bill criminalizing the denial
of Armenian `genocide.’
The message the group released criticized France for being “two-faced”
for advocating free speech but criminalizing the denial of Armenian
claims of genocide. The group further called the Armenian Diaspora
advocates `cowards’ and called for the opening of historical archives.
Devedjian is known as a close associate of French President Nicolas
Sarkozy as well as a member of the ruling party. He is also known for
his pro-Armenian views.
Another recent hacking had occurred by the same group only a few weeks
ago targeting Valerie Boyer, the author of the French resolution.
The draft law that passed recently makes it a crime to publicly deny
the Armenian claims of genocide regarding the events of 1915.
