Yerevan, Tehran Discuss Iran-Armenia Railway Construction

YEREVAN, TEHRAN DISCUSS IRAN-ARMENIA RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION

PanARMENIAN.Net – In the framework of Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad’s official visit to Armenia, the following 6 cooperation
agreements were reached: memorandum on providing assistance to Armenia
by Iranian government, cooperation agreement on construction and
operation of a hydropower plant on River Arax, Meghri hydropower plant
construction based on “construction-management-operation-transmission”
principle, cooperation in social and nature preservation fields, as
well as a memorandum between standards institutes of Armenia and Iran.

Afterwards, the parties stressed the importance of strengthening
energy cooperation, focusing on oil pipeline and Armenia-Iran railway
construction.
