Professor of Sukhumi University: `The destruction of Iravan fortress
by Armenians is a crime’

`The present territory of Armenia is artificially formed on account of
Azerbaijani and Georgian territories’

Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. `It is a fact that the present territory
of Armenia is artificially formed on account of Azerbaijani and
Georgian territories. Armenia is like a wound amputated from two
living organisms. Our peoples and countries should return our
territories that were armenized forcedly’, Professor of Sukhumi
University, Doctor of historical sciences Guram Markhulia told
journalists, APA reports. He noted that the existence of Iravan
fortress is undeniable. It is clear that the Azerbaijani city has
turned into the capital of Armenia. The Armenians destroyed the
monuments belonging to Azerbaijan. They know that the time will pass
and the history will prove with the facts that these territories don’t
belong to Armenia’.

According to Markhulia, by destroying Iravan fortress, Armenia tried
to remove the traces of Azerbaijan from the territories belonging to
Azerbaijan: `The destruction of Iravan fortress by Armenians is a
crime’.
