Lebanon always supported OIC’s resolutions on Karabakh
Sat 10 December 2011 10:45 GMT | 12:45 Local Time

Armenian President’s statements about presentation of Karabakh
conflict as religious by Azerbaijan are untrue.
The statement came from spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Elman Abdullayev.

“The President of Armenia is trying to show himself tolerant and
constructive, but his actions and his attitude that he expresses in
various international forums contradict to this”, said Elman
Abdullayev.

Sargsyan made accusations to Azerbaijan on Friday at a joint press
conference with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, who is on an
official visit to Yerevan.

E. Abdullayev urged to remember that with the approval of the Armenian
government almost all the cultural and religious monuments in the
occupied territories of Azerbaijan and in Armenia itself, belonging to
the Azerbaijan people, were destroyed.

“Disrespect for the cultural values of the Azerbaijani people and the
policy of ethnic cleansing carried out against the indigenous
population of Azerbaijan, show that the President of Armenia is
misleading everyone’, said Abdullayev.

According to Elman Abdullayev, Lebanon has always supported the
resolutions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict, adopted within the framework of the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation (ITNs), condemning the Armenian aggression and territorial
integrity of Azerbaijan.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
