I would agree with Bernard Fassier if he meant sovereign, independent
and international recognized republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. Only in
this case it’s possible to establish normal relations among Armenians
and Azerbaijanis. Azerbaijan has always proved that Armenians in
the territory of Azerbaijan are under threat,” Republican MP Artak
Zakaryan told Panorama.am making remarks on OSCE MG French co-chair
Bernard Fassier’s statement.

OSCE Minsk Group French co-chair Bernard Fassier, who is going to
leave his mission, stated in Baku: “I hope, I will visit Azerbaijan
as a tourist and that Armenians and Azerbaijanis will be living in
Karabakh as brothers.”

The MP noted that Azerbaijan had exercised violence against Armenians
in different times of history – in Shushi (1918), in Baku, Sumgayit,
Kirovabad, Maraga, Gandzak.
