NKR forces take preventive measures: up to 7 dead and injured in
Azerbaijani armed forces

NKR Defense Army reports that the Azerbaijani army violated ceasefire
regime around 270 times during the past week.

The Azerbaijani army subunits fired more than 1500 shots from
different types of firearms at the NKR defensive positions. Most
intensive ceasefire violations were recorded on November 20, 22 and
23. During the past week, the enemy fired around 250 shots from “SVD,”
“Black Arrow” and Istiqlal sniper rifles alone.

According to the press office of NKR Defense Army, Azerbaijan’s
attacks along the line of contact once again confirm the fact that
official Baku not only does not respect the international efforts
towards peaceful settlement of the conflict but also takes purposeful
steps towards aggravating tension at the line of contact – a
circumstance that forces the Karabakh side to be stricter in its
further actions and adequate – in its responses.

It is noteworthy that during the past week alone, in response to the
recent two deaths in the NKR Defense Army as a result of Azerbaijani
fire, the Armenian side took preventive measures, as it had announced
earlier. According to the Defense Army intelligence data, up to 7
deaths and injuries are reported in the Azerbaijani army on November
20-25 as a result of NKR forces’ preventive measures.

It is obvious that in order to keep the country and the army away from
domestic and social riots, official Baku refrains from making public
the above mentioned facts. However, reliable sources say that the
Azerbaijani authorities demand explanations from the Defense Ministry
over these incidents.
