HRAPARAK: DECREE ON VICE-PREMIER’S DISMISSAL SIGNED IN ADVANCE

Armenian Vice-Premier, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen
Gevorgyan’s resignation is to be officially announced within the next
few days.

The Armenian presidential spokesman refuted the information on the
minister’s resignation, the newspaper reports that President Serzh
Sargsyan signed a relevant decree several days ago, after his visit
to Moscow.

The ex-president Robert Kocharyan failed to meet with Russian Premier
Vladimir Putin. So without any fears President Serzh Sargsyan decided
to take radical steps and get rid of Kocharyan’s protege number one.

Armen Gevorgyan is rumored to have been offered an ambassador’s post,
but he refused.
