KEVORKIAN SUICIDE MACHINE, PAINTINGS IN NYC SALE

NEW YORK (AP) – Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s suicide machine and other personal
items are being sold in New York City amid a legal dispute between
his estate and a suburban Boston museum.

Estate attorney Mayer Morganroth says 17 disputed paintings also
will be auctioned Friday night, even though the museum has refused
to surrender them. One was made in Kevorkian’s own blood.

Images of the paintings will be displayed instead.

The Armenian Library and Museum of America says the paintings
were donated by Kevorkian and they’ll stay put until the dispute
is resolved.

The estate has estimated their value at up to $3.5 million.

Both sides have filed lawsuits.

The assisted-suicide advocate died in June at 83. He left his property
to his sole heir, niece Ava Janus of Troy, Mich.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
