SEMINAR AT THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS DEDICATED TO ISSUES OF BORDER SECURITY

A seminar on issues of border security was held at the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs today. The event was organized by the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs, the National Security Service and the NATO
International Staff within the framework of the NATO week in Armenia.

The NATO delegation by Steven Sturm, Director for Defense Policy and
Capabilities of the NATO International Staff arrived in Yerevan to
participate in the seminar.

The participants discussed issues related to joint management of
state borders, elaboration of models for risk analysis, etc.

On October 20 Steven Sturm delivered a lecture at RA Diplomatic
Academy dedicated to the issues on NATO agenda in the light of the
decisions of the Lisbon summit.
