CENSUS MEANS OF COMPILING VOTERS’ LISTS – ARMENIAN FILM PRODUCER

The population census is one more instrument of the tyrannical
government, the founding member of the Sardarapt movement, film
producer Tigran Khzmalyan writes on his Facebook page.

According to him, the aim of the census is to present false figures,
compile false voters’ lists, include “dead souls” in the lists,
intimidate the people on the dole, legalize and consolidate the
tyrannical government.

In response to a remark that he is going to extremes, Khzmalyan writes:
“Any government initiative – even the most democratic one – under
a tyrannical government turns into a means of consolidating this
tyrannical government. What purpose is this census going to serve,
and how are its results going to be abused? We are going to see it
within the next few months.”

Khzmalyan is not going to answer the questions. “I will offer coffee
or tea to the ‘heralds’, but my conviction is to ignore this regular
‘measure’,” Khzmalyan reads.
