Next Sitting Of The CIS Council Of Interior Ministers To Take Place

NEXT SITTING OF THE CIS COUNCIL OF INTERIOR MINISTERS TO TAKE PLACE IN AZERBAIJAN

The recurrent sitting of the Council of Interior Ministers of the
Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Yerevan on October 14.

The Chief of Police of Armenia, as well as the Interior Ministers
of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia,
Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, President of the CIS Executive
Committee, the first Deputy Head of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center,
INTERPOL Secretary General and representatives of the CIS Council
of Interior Ministers at the CIS Executive Committee participated in
the sitting.

Chief of Police of the Republic c of Armenia Alik Sargsyan delivered
opening remarks. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Secretary of the
National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan, President of the CIS
Executive Committee, Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev and Secretary
General of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL),
Ronald Kenneth Noble, greeted the participants of the sitting and
wished them productive work.

A wide range of issued was discussed at the sitting. The participants
exchanged views on the priority directions of cooperation between
the Interior Ministries of CIS participating states. It was decided
to hold the next sitting of the Council in Azerbaijan in 2012, Press
