YEREVAN, October 7. / ARKA /. An out session of Armenian government
yesterday held in Artashat, in Ararat province, 40 km south off
Yerevan, has revised its earlier decision on marking by excise stamps
of goods produced in Armenia subject to excise tax that was passed
in 20008 October under which local cigarette producers could place
10 or 20 pieces of cigarettes in a pack.

According to the revised decision tobacco companies are allowed
to place 25 and 40 pieces of cigarettes in a pack. This refers to
cigarettes with filter. As for cigarettes without filter producers
can place either 12 or 20 pieces in a pack.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
