ARMENIAN PRESIDENT AWARDS ORDER OF GLORY TO FRENCH COUNTERPART

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a private meeting Oct. 7 with
French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is on a state visit to Armenia.

The meeting was followed by a joint news conference by the two
presidents. Before the news conference, the Armenian leader awarded an
Order of Glory to President Nicolas Sarkozy for his great contribution
to traditional Armenian-French friendship, development of comprehensive
bilateral cooperation, and international peace and security.

The Armenian and French ministerial delegation were holding a meeting
at the Armenian presidential residence simultaneously with the
Armenian-French presidential meeting. The sides discussed development
of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
