Turkey-Azerbaijan or Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia confederation is not
a serious issue on the backdrop of current realities.

The statement came from MP, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling
New Azerbaijan Party Siyavush Novruzov.

‘The past experience shows that federation or confederation cannot
be effective at present. At the same time I understand those who put
forward this proposal,~T the NAP official said.

The MP said there are various kinds of unions across the world citing
European Union as an example.

~SThey have common currency, economy and so on. It is possible to
travel across Europe freely. The Baltic counties also had a similar
union once. It is suggested that Caucasus countries can also unite
in a single union, form a parliament, etc. But in reality this seems
impossible until Karabakh conflict is resolved in a fair way and
Armenia stops aggression against Azerbaijan,~T Novruzov added.
