ARMENIAN OPPOSITION CALLS FOR CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE

YEREVAN.- Armenian opposition activist called for civil disobedience
during today’s rally in Yerevan.

Armenian people are faced with difficult situation, said coordinator
of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) central office Levon Zurabyan.

“Once the authorities released political prisoners and started
the dialogue with the opposition, we thought they realized it is
impossible to use old methods and they should make concessions. But
now we see that the Armenian authorities stopped halfway, moreover
there is another political prisoner,” he said. “I call on you to get
ready for civil disobedience.”

Rally of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) continues
in Liberty Square of Yerevan.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered.
