Azerbaijanian authorities declare Russian politician persona non grata

The Azerbaijani authorities have slammed Aleksey Mitrofanov, a member
of the Fair Russia party, for attending the opening of the Moscow
celebration house in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Azerbaijani news website SalamNews has quoted Elman Abdulaev, a
spokesperson of the country’s Foreign Ministy, as saying that
Mitrofanov has been declared persona non grata in Azerbaijan.

`Baku continues taking steps towards preventing such unlawful visits.
Coordinated work is being carried out with other diplomatic missions,’
the Azeri official had said.
