US to prevent possible military clashes between Turkey and Israel – expert

September 10, 2011 | 12:11

YEREVAN.- Turkey’s aggressive position on Israel is first of all
conditioned by Erdogan’s behavior, said expert in Turkish studied
Levon Hovsepyan.

`Turkish PM is considered an emotional leader seeking for adventurous
scenarios, for instance a scandal with Israeli PM Shimon Peres in
Davos,’ Hovsepyan told journalists on Saturday.

Political expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan considers that deterioration of
relations between Israel and Turkey will hardly lead to hostilities as
U.S. would definitely prevent such developments.

`Open clashes between two regional allies are not advantageous to U.S.
Israel, being a U.S. ally, is doing for Washington more than any other
country does, including UK. However, Turkey’s geographic location is
an advantage. In case Turkey continues its open support of Arab world,
U.S. may finally reject Ankara’s assistance. But it is too early to
speak about it,’ he said.

According to the experts, in the light of recent developments Israel
and Turkey are trying to strengthen relations with each other’s
opponents. In this regard, Israel will try to provide military
assistance to Kurds.

`Armenia can expect favorable developments in the Genocide recognition
process as well,’ Hovhannisyan added.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
