PROCESS OF MODERNIZATION OF THREE ARMENIAN CHECKPOINTS DISCUSSED

Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia Arthur
Baghdasaryan received UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident
Representative in Armenia Dafina Gercheva.

Mrs. Gercheva presented the process of modernization of the three
checkpoints of Armenia with the support of the UNDP. An international
tender for carrying out the construction works will be announced in
the near future, she said.

Arthur Baghdasaryan stressed the importance of having checkpoints
corresponding to EU standards as soon as possible.

Other issues of Armenia-UNDP cooperation were also discussed.
