ARMENIA TO CREATE CUSTOMS CHECKPOINTS IN COMPLIANCE WITH EUROPEAN STANDARDS

YEREVAN.- Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Arthur
Baghdasaryan received UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident
Representative in Armenia Dafina Gercheva.

Dafina Gercheva presented the reforms carried out by the UN in
three customs checkpoints in Armenia. She stressed that preliminary
works on improving three customs checkpoints have been completed and
international tender would be invited soon.

Head of National Security Council stressed necessity of creation of
customs checkpoints in compliance with European standards in short
period of time.

The sides also discussed other issues related to Armenia-UN
cooperation.
