We must be proud of 20-year strengthening of Armenian state – Armenian
president

YEREVAN. – Way of strengthening the independent state traversed by
Armenia in 20 years must fill our hearts with pride, said Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan at the meeting with representatives of Miasin
youth movement on Lake Sevan.

Independence by itself gave Armenia a lot, primarily a state, which
serves for the interests of the Armenian people, noted Sargsyan.

`This is the most valuable thing. Of course, there are difficulties
and problems to overcome. Maybe people, who do not hold public office
today, will serve their country better. But that is not important.
What is important that our state serves the interests of our people,’
added the president.

Among the most precious achievements of the independent state Serzh
Sargsyan mentioned the National Army, which completely fulfilled its
duties.

Another important achievement he mentioned is representation in all
key international organizations.

“This means that perhaps not so fast, but we are still moving in the
same direction of development that the developed states,” said
Sargsyan.
