PARTICIPANTS OF “COME HOME” MEET WITH MONTE’S COMRADES-IN-ARMS

Armenian Diaspora Ministry, combining “Our Heroes” and “Come Home”
programs, has organized August 18 in “Karin” camp of Aghveran the
meeting of comrades-in-arms of RA national hero Monte Melkonyan –
Alek Yenigomshyan, Hrayr Karapetyan, Martiros Zhamkochyan and Edik
Baghdasaryan with participants of “Come Home” program.

Armenian Diaspora Ministry press service told Armenpress that this year
Monte Melkonyan’s name is involved in “Our heroes” book of Armenian
Diaspora Ministry, within the frameworks of which numerous events
are organized in the Republic of Armenia and Diaspora communities.

Hero’s friends presented to Diaspora-Armenian young people Monte’s
biography, told interesting episodes from his life. A documentary
film dedicated to Monte was shown, after which guests answered young
people’s questions.

“All of us must pay tribute of honor to Monte: we must live by our
homeland, make it stronger,” Edik Baghdasaryan said.

At the end of the meeting with one minute’s silence the guests
expressed their respect to the memory of the legendary hero.
