US hails the modernization of northern checkpoints of Armenia

On July 29 Head of the Arms Control and International Security
Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Samvel
Lazarian received the delegation headed by Ann Ganzer, Deputy
Assistant Secretary of State, Director of Conventional Arms Threat
Reduction in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation.

The American side highly appreciated the legal reforms implemented in
Armenia towards controlling the exports and the practical application
of corresponding procedures. They emphasized the importance of
modernization of the northern checkpoints of the Republic of Armenia.

Issues related to the further development of the existing
effective cooperation between Armenia and the United States in the
above-mentioned directions.
