Hrant Melkumyan Dominating Sevana Lich Chess Tournament

HRANT MELKUMYAN DOMINATING SEVANA LICH CHESS TOURNAMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net – Sevana Lich (Lake of Sevan) round robin chess
tournament is being held in Martuni province of Armenia, with 10
grandmasters participating.

On July 27, the 6th tour matches were held. Thanks to victory over
Zaven Andriasyan, Hrant Melkumyan is dominating the standings with
4 points.

Georgian and Chinese Grandmasters Baadur Jobava and Zhou Jianchao
scored up 3,5 points each.

In the 6th tour Jobava was stronger than Tigran Petrosyan, who has
3 points; Jianchao shared points with Sergey Zhigalki (Belarus).

Avetik Grigoryan (3 points) tied match with Samvel Ter-Sahakyan
(2 points). Arman Pashikyan scored up 2,5 points.

The tournament is to be over July 30.
