MASS MEDIA ARE THE ONLY SOURCE OF INFORMATION FOR TURKISH OPPOSITION CONCERNING ARMENIAN-TURKISH RELATIONS

Mass media are the only source of information for the Turkish
opposition concerning Armenian-Turkish relations and the
Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, the leader of Turkey’s key opposition
force, the People’s Republic Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu said
during a meeting with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Hurriyet quotes him as saying that that the main reason why the Turkish
opposition objected to the singing of the Armenian-Turkish protocols
was the government’s reluctance to inform them about the process.

“Besides, the ruling party constitutes a majority in the parliament
and they can well vote on this issue without our consent,” the Turkish
oppositionist said.
