UKRAINE PROMISED ARMENIA ASSISTANCE IN KARABAKH PEACE PROCESS

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych promised his Armenian
counterpart Serzh Sargsyan assistance in resolving the Karabakh
conflict during Ukraine’s chairmanship in OSCE.

At a joint press conference with Armenian leader Yanukovich stressed
that Ukraine has friendly and close relations both with Armenia
and Azerbaijan.

“Peaceful resolution of the conflict is in our interests. We wish
our friends could find resolution within the framework of OSCE Minsk
Group,” he said. “Ukraine will take over chairmanship in OSCE in 2013
and we will do utmost to advance the peace process”.
