President Ahmadinejad due in Armenia on Monday

Tehran, June 5, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, heading a
high-ranking politico-economic delegation, will pay an official visit
to Armenia as of Monday.

Iran’s Embassy to Armenia announced in a statement, that a copy of
which was made available to IRNA on Sunday, said President
Ahmadinejad’s Armenia visit is aimed to further promote mutual ties
and is in response to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan’s visit
to Tehran during Nowruz (New Year) vacations.

He added that during his one-day stay, the president will meet and
confer with Sargsyan and certain other Armenian officials.

Protocols for economic cooperation will also be signed by the two
sides during the visit.
