95 PROJECTS APPROVED THROUGH SCIENTIFIC EXPERTISE

YEREVAN, MARCH 9, ARMENPRESS: 95 scientific projects were approved
in the result of the second stage of the “Competition of Contract
Financing of Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity”, which
had been declared October 20, 2010 by the RA education and science
ministry’s state scientific committee.

Samvel Harutyunyan, state scientific committee chairman, said today
at a meeting with journalists that 683 scientific projects were
presented for the first stage of the competition, and 541 ones were
selected for the second stage. He added that the competition has a
third stage for appeals.

“This year the number of themes, selected in the result of appeal, will
be more than it is intended,” Samvel Harutyunyan said. He added that
prominent scientists from Armenia and over 80 scientists from various
states of the world partook in the selection of the second stage.

Samvel Harutyunyan says the competition project has an overall budget
of 686 million AMD.
