NURSULTAN NAZARBAYEV: KAZAKHSTAN PLAYS AN ACTIVE ROLE IN KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

As the OSCE chairing country, Kazakhstan is taking active efforts to
resolve the Karabakh conflict, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev
said, addressing the participants of the international conference
“OSCE and CIS: new opportunities and prospects,” related to Kazakh
chairmanship in OSCE.

“The protracted conflicts also receive attention. Thus, consultations
on Transdniestrian problem in 5+2 format were held under the auspices
of the Chairman-in-Office in May of the current year. We are also
taking active mediation efforts in the Karabakh conflict settlement,”
he said.
