Ministry of Diaspora combats Diaspora Armenian youth assimilation

Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan addressed Ministry’s
plans for the future at a discussion on prospects of Armenia-Diaspora
cooperation today.

The Minister said that Ministry of Diaspora prioritizes problems of
Diaspora Armenian youth.

Mrs. Hakobyan said that assimilation is one of the major problems in
the age of globalization, therefore we need to do our utmost to
strengthen Diaspora Armenian youth’s ties with the Homeland, to keep
their identity, to prevent their assimilation.

`We are set to implement major programs with the Armenian youth,’ the
Minister said.

She gave the example of the Pan-Armenian Youth Parliament which they
plan to convoke in the near future.
