In the 6th round of the FIDE men’s "Grand Prix" taking place in
Astrakhan Vladimir Hakobyan competed with Van Yue with white. Both are
strong chess players and have high techniques. In the first part of
the game they used one of the Russian versions. It should be noticed
that as Hakobyan so as Van Yue are experienced in such kind of game.

At last the representative of China managed to return what he had
lost in the previous round. In the last round he had lost in the game
with Yakovenko.

The earned 1 point allows the Chinese grandmaster to continue the
struggle for the last permit. However Vladimir Hakobyan is in the
last place of the tournament list with 2 points.

Today the Armenian chess player will play with Eugene Alexeev.
