KOCHARIAN DOESN’T PLAN TO RETURN TO POLITICS: TSARUKYAN

Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan doesn’t know whether
first president of the Republic of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, will
return to politics or not.

In parliament today, responding to journalists’ questions, he said
that if the former president had such plans, he would announce them
himself: "You know how Kocharian carries himself, how he thinks… if
such a thing were true, we would hear it from him first," said the
party leader and notable oligarch and businessman.

News about Kocharian’s return to politics were disseminated soon
after his return from Iran, where he met with the country’s president
and foreign affairs minister. During that time, Iranian media were
reporting on certain statements that Kocharian made during his Iran
visit; statements which later Kocharian’s press spokesperson said
were untrue.
