Armenian Industrial Sales Drop By 10 % Last Year To 667.2 Billion

ARMENIAN INDUSTRIAL SALES DROP BY 10 % LAST YEAR TO 667.2 BILLION

YEREVAN, February 2, /ARKA/. Armenian industrial sales dropped by 10 %
last year to 667.2 billion Drams , the National Statistical service
reported. Some 46.3 billion drams worth industrial goods were sold
to former Soviet republics and 141.3 billion drams goods to other
countries.

According to the official figures Armenian industrial output last year
contracted by 7.8% form a year before to fall to 663.9 billion Drams.

Mining industry output grew by 7.6% from 2008 to 92.9 billion Drams,
processing industry posted a 9% drop falling to 439.7 billion Drams,
the chemical output fell by 34.1% to 11.6 billion Drams, production
and distribution of power, gas and water fell by 13.3% to 131.4
billion Drams.
