U.S. POSTAL SERVICE PRODUCES FIRST STAMP DEDICATED TO AZERBAIJAN`S
SHUSHA CITY

Baku 30 December

The United States Postal Service has produced the first postage stamp
dedicated to Azerbaijan`s historic city of Shusha.

The stamp was prepared by U.S. Azerbaijanis, but there are many other
nationalities among its customers, a Service official said. Shusha was
established in 1751 by Panahali Khan Javanshir, the founder and first
ruler of the Karabakh Khanate of Azerbaijan.
