The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute has obtained new and
exceptional museum valuaes that highly contribute to the Genocide
studies and the museum exhibit collection. The materials were acquired
due to the charities and the financial support of the museum’s
friends.

Hundreds of magazines and newspapers, original photos, cards, medals,
stamps, as well as an exceptional collection (38 samples) of original
photos of the Armenian culture monuments made by late 19 -century
Russian photographer D. I. Yermakov have been acquired.

Note that the Museum opened its doors to visitors in 1995, as 80 years
since the Armenian Genocide was marked.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
