LEADER OF ARMENIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS MEETS WITH REPRESENTATIVE OF US DEPARTMENT OF STATE

ArmInfo. The first president of Armenia, the leader of the Armenian
National Congress Levon Ter-Petrossyan met with Director of the
US Department of State’s Office for Caucasus Affairs and Regional
Conflicts Ethan Goldrich and Ambassador of the United States to
Armenia Marie Yovanovitch.

The press service of the ANC reports that the sides discussed questions
concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and Armenian-Turkish
relations and exchanged views on the democracy situation in Armenia,
the problem of political prisoners, the global crisis and measures
to fight corruption.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
