ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSYAN ON STATE VISIT TO KUWAIT

visit to Kuwait. Kuwait Airport hosted an official meeting ceremony
upon RA President’s arrival.

Armenian Delegation lead by Serzh Sargsyan includes RA FM Edward
Nalbandian, Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan, Diaspora Minister
Hranush Hakobyan, Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan, Education and
Science Minister Armen Ashotyan, Head of "Armenia-Kuwait" parliamentary
friendship group Vahan Hovhannesyan, RA Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs
Union Chairman Arsen Ghazaryan, Commercial and Industrial Chamber
Chairman Martin Sargsyan.

Meeting with Kuwait’s Armenian community is on presidential agenda,
RA President’s press service reported.

KAPAN HOUSE OF CULTURE TO HOST JOB FAIR ON NOVEMBER 4

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On November 4, State Employment Service will organize
a job fair in the House of Culture of Kapan, Syunik region, enabling
47 employers to display 182 vacancies. Among participants there will
be representatives from Kapan and Kajaran Medical centers (displaying
a total quantity of 21 vacancies), as well as Deno Gold Mining and
Kapan Copper and Molybdenum plant. Organizers expect presence of 3
thousand visitors. The objective to promote links between employers
and specialists seeking jobs.

State Employment Service has demonstrated the effectiveness of such
events. After the 2007 job fair organized in Yerevan, 89 individuals
found jobs. As a result of subsequent fairs organized in other towns
of Armenia, 44 individuals found jobs in Gyumri, 45 – in Dilijan and
67 – in Vanadzor.

ARTHUR OSIKYAN: WE CARRY OUT REFORMS IN POLICE

Armenian Police pledged a number of obligations, Deputy Chief of RA
Police Arthur Osikyan told meeting with law students at the Yerevan
State University.

"We are diligently working to carry out reforms within the police,"
Mr. Osikyan said, adding that a particular attention is paid to the
education system.

TIGRAN SARGSYAN TO TAKE PART IN ARMTECH 2009 FORUM

enshrining Madrid Principles," Head of NKR Government’s Information
Department Hrant Aleksanyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Aleksanyan also confirmed NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan’s
statement on Artsakh territories’ being enshrined in Constitution
and territorial concessions’ being out of the question. Head of
Information Department also reiterated Premier’s statement on Nagorno
Karabak’s actively implementing various economic programs on liberated
territories, repairing the irrigation system, water reservoirs and
roads. All those programs aim at "creating favorable conditions for
repopulating the territories," he said.

In the meantime, Aleksanyan added that repopulation and economic
programs were more actively implemented in Kashatagh and Karvachar
regions.

ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT CLOSELY MONITORING FOOD PRODUCERS

56 audits in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Before that over 1000 inspections were carried out, resulted in
40 million AMD of paid fines and penalties," Chief of Inspectorate
Grisha Baghyan told press conference on November 3. According to him,
during inspections lawbreakers are fined at 50 to 300 thousand AMD

NEW CENTRE ON OTTOMAN ARCHIVES WILL BE OPENED IN ISTANBUL

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Istanbul will be the venue for a new center on
Ottoman archives. Ottoman archives, currently placed in four different
locations, will be collected together at the "Ottoman Archive Center"
in Kagithane district of Istanbul, said Directorate General of State
Archives on Tuesday. The new center will have around 100 million
documents and 370,000 note-books.

The center will include an administrative building, a research hall
for 350 scholars, research institute, library, museum, a special
unit for digital archives, social facilities and congress hall for
2,500 people. The new center will be opened to the public in 2012,
reported Anatolian News Agency.

Journalist, Editor-in-Chief of "Shakhs" journal (Riga, 1960-70),
Mikhail Tal (1936-92) is the 8th World Chess Champion (1960-61)
and six times USSR champion (1957-78). He has been winner in around
40 international tournaments and 8 World Tournaments representing
USSR (1958-82). In 1988, he held his first victory in quick chess
competition (with each chess player having no more than 5 minutes),
leaving behind world Champion G. Kasparov and ex-World Champion
A. Karpov.

YOUNG PAINTER DAVID NERKARARYAN OPENS HIS FIRST PERSONAL EXHIBITION IN YEREVAN

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On November 3, Armenian painter David Nerkaryan
opened his exhibition in Narekatsi Cultural Centre, Yerevan.

"Like any other painter, I want to find my world and myself. I like
Armenian miniature painting very much. Works by Toros Roslin and Momik
are my imspiration, but my creative enthusiasm is not limited to that,"
Nerkararyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

David Nerkararyan was born in Vanadzor, Armenia. After leaving local
fine art school, he continued his professional education in Yerevan
State Teacher Training Institute, Faculty of Creative Art. He is
also graduate of Documentary Direction Department of Yerevan State
Institute of Theatre and Cinematography.
