/PanARMENIAN.Net/ 64-km line between Armenia-Georgia frontier remains
uncoordinated, Iveri Melashvili, representative of state committee for
Armenia-Georgia frontier demarcation and delimitation stated. Until
now, agreement was reached as to 160 -km span.

Commenting on uncoordinated part of the frontier, Melashvili noted
that committee’s work is in process. No information was given as to
the exact time of its completion, Georgia Online reported.

will be held November 6 – 27 in Cologne (Germany) "Germany and the
Armenians" the sixth year.

This year Days of Armenian Culture will be timed to 140th anniversary
of Komitas. The leader of the Armenian Church in Germany Garegin
Begjanian will take part in the opening ceremony, the Komitas Choir
will perform.

Dogan Akanli, writer from Cologne will read a report on the events of
1915 and 1945 telling about parallels between the Armenian Genocide
and the Holocaust.

Days of Armenian Culture will be finalized with a literary evening,
during which a new book about the Armenian writer Charents will
be presented.

40 000 Armenians now live in Germany. The largest Armenian community
is located in, the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church is located
in Cologne as well.

lesson on "Ten Days of Local Self-government in Armenia". Lessons
will be run by politicians and Heads of local self-government bodies,
Education and Science Ministry’s press service reports.

Civil lesson in the schools of Yerevan will start at 10:00 a.m. In
regions, it will begin at 11:00.

Effectiveness of lessons will be assessed through compositions titled
"Our Community", which school-children will write on November 9.

Initiative was proposed by Ministry of Territorial Administration
and received support by Ministry of Education and Science, Yerevan
Municipality and regional local self-government bodies.

border," Press Secretary of National Security Service Artsvi
Baghdasaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. According to him, some
disagreements arose during engineering activities on border, but
they were quickly settled. "Reports about the incident are untrue,"
Baghramyan noted.

Media today disseminated information on alleged incident between two
countries’ frontier guards on Armenian-Georgian border. Armenians
attempted to put frontier posts, but they were met with Georgian
side’s resistance.

received the Ambassador of Russia in Armenia, Vyacheslav Kovalenko.

Welcoming the guest, Mr. Abrahamyan stressed that the allied
relations between Russia and Armenia are one of the most important
directives of foreign policy of Armenia. Hovik Abrahamyan stressed
the importance of high-level political relations between countries,
mutually beneficial cooperation in military-technical, humanitarian,
trade and economic spheres.

The officials attached importance to the work of intergovernmental
and interparliamentary commission on cooperation and noted that
the committees are important tools for the development of bilateral
relations. During the meeting the sides also discussed the issues
of regional security, press service of the National Assembly of
Armenia reports.

society in action were announced at the OSCE Permanent Council
today.The contest was initiated and financed by the Permanent
Mission of Germany to the OSCE, with the support of the Greek OSCE
Chairmanship. The winners received a trip to Vienna to the OSCE.

One of contest winners was Armenian representative Ani Harutyunyan
with her film Just Because. Winners took part in Permanent Council’s
November 5 session. Thereafter, Gemran Ambassador Heiner Horsten handed
certificates to finalists whose video films are displayed in OSCE
exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the Fall of Berlin Wall.

On November 6, winners will attend a special anniversary event with
former German Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Dimitris
Droutsas, Greece’s Alternate Foreign Minister and Special Envoy of
the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, and Austrian Foreign Minister Michael
Spindelegger.

Telecom President Didier Lombard and Deputy Manager Olaf Suanti, as
well as Orange Armenia organization’s General Director Bruno Duthoit
and French Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smesov.

Welcoming the delegation, President was noted with satisfaction
that first part of program was implemented within a short period and
expressed Armenian side’s interest in new international brands.

France Telecom President Didier Lombard added in turn that company
had really managed to carry out a lot of work within a short time and
expressed gratitude to Armenian government for its support. Didier
also said that their company’s goal was to introduce innovations in

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. The EU Advisory Group to Armenia
jointly with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development National
Center of Armenia (SME DNC) held a Workshop on Export Helpdesk for
representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises. During the
workshop, the representative of the RA State Revenue Committee answered
questions related to taxes and customs duties on exported goods.

According to information provided by SME DNC, Export Helpdesk is
a free Internet database to help countries enhance their economic
growth and welfare through trade by facilitating access of exporters
to European markets.

The purpose of the workshop was to improve the skills of small and
medium entrepreneurs to use Export Helpdesk for detailed information
on specific products for export purposes, as well as the import
requirements. SME representatives were the main target group of
the workshop.

Republic of Armenia envisages 9.4bn drams for the implementation of
agricultural projects in Armenia next year, Minister Gerasim Alaverdian
said during the November 5 meeting with reporters. Out of this amount,
1bn 124m drams has been allocated to 6 noncommercial organizations
functioning in the sector, and 730.7m drams will be spent on
maintenance of the minister’s staff and 379 employees of the ministry.

Allocations to the plant protection program amount to 150m drams. 1
billion drams will be provided for vaccination of farm animals.

Financing of 1bn 100m drams is envisaged for the program on state
assistance to agricultural land users. The minister attached special
importance to the project of wheat and barley seeds growing, on which
76.5m drams will be spent.

The draft budget envisages allocating 78.2m drams to the program
of education and scholarships, under which the ministry will open
colleges in Goris, Gavar, Masis, Stepanavan, Vanadzor, and Nor Geghi.

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. Under the 2010 draft state budget,
allocations to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will amount
to 241.27bn drams, Minister Gevorg Petrosian said at the November 5
press conference. Financing for the program of social pensions will
make 6.514bn drams. The basic amount of pensions will be the same –
8 thousand drams, while the average amount will make 10.104 drams
(26.5 USD).

The value of one year of insurance service will be 450 drams, the
average monthly pension will make about 26 thousand drams. It is
envisaged leaving unchanged the monthly amount of honorary payments
to veterans – 20 thousand drams.

The minister announced that the total expenditures on family allowances
and one-off benefits will amount to 31,023m drams.

Allocations of 4.536m drams are envisaged for unemployment benefits:
the montly amount of an unemployment bebefit to be paid for 10 months
is 18 thousand drams.

The average price of a patient’s treatment a day was left unchanged
– 11,500 drams. Expenditures on the provision of prosthetic devices
to disabled persons and the repair of such devices are envisaged to
total 857.5m drams. Allocations for wheel chairs and hearing aids
of disabled persons will amount to 119.2m drams in 2010. 450 wheel
chairs, 1,100 hearing aids made in Russia, and 218 hearing aids made
in Europe will be purchased with this money.
