/PanARMENIAN.Net/ "Armenia-Turkey rapprochement should not be viewed
as a separate process, being connected with geopolitical processes
in Middle East," Armenian Democratic Party Leader Aram Sargsyan told
a news conference in Yerevan.

According to Aram Sargsyan, Turkey’s policy focused on the East after
relations with Israel were impaired. "Turkey started to establish
relations with Iran, Syria and there’s a tendency towards rapprochement
with Armenia, as Turkey sees development perspectives in Middle East
and South Caucasus regions," ADP Leader emphasized.

KAMSARAKAN ACCUSES ARMENIA’S FM OF UNDERMINING NATIONAL SECURITY

PanARMENIAN.Net
05.11.2009 15:54 GMT+04:00

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Committee member of Armenia’s Public Council for
Defense and National Security, Director of the Armenian Center for
Basic Sciences Simon Kamsarakan requested from the Prosecutor General
of the country to initiate criminal proceedings against the head of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, since
the latter violates the Constitution and made a number of official
crimes that threaten national security, defense and safety of the
country, Simon Kamsarakan told a press conference in Yerevan today.

According to him, the Armenian Foreign Minister must answer a number of
questions: who and where were initialed the Armenian-Turkish Protocols,
who designed the so-called press release on behalf of the foreign
ministers of Armenia, Turkey and Switzerland, and why they lack the
signatures of the parties? Did the President of Armenia have on August
30, 2009 the texts of press release and initialed protocols in three
languages, why are the signed protocols not presented to the society,
as well as a number of other issues?

"In the Armenian version the content of the initialed protocols
does not match that of the signed," Mr. Kamsarakan said. He filed
a lawsuit against Edward Nalbandian, because the latter is the
protagonist of this process, and he accordingly is responsible for
everything. "The Armenian-Turkish Protocols are a gamble of foreign
ministers of Armenia, Turkey and Switzerland," Simon Kamsarakan said,
adding that these protocols do not match the language of the law.

will be held in Canadian Vancouver and Whistler from February 12 to

CHANGES IN RUSSIA’S POLICY TOWARDS YEREVAN TO LEAD TO REAL PROGRESS IN KARABAKH PROCESS

PanARMENIAN.Net
05.11.2009 16:33 GMT+04:00

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Moscow’s policy towards Yerevan will lead to a
real breakthrough in Karabakh peace process, Richard Giragosyan,
Director of the Center for Strategic and National Studies, told a
seminar-discussion on "Armenian-Turkish diplomacy and Nagorno Karabakh:
Deal or no deal?". "For instance, Moscow’s pro-Armenian policy may
become neutral, leading to normalization of Russian-Azerbaijani
ties. Russia will show EU and US its readiness for more constructive
cooperation," expert noted.

According to him, such changes is the only factor Armenia is not
ready for. Giragosyan is convinced that if Russia really changes its
policy towards Karabakh issue, there will hardly be any response or
counterbalance by Yerevan.

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The Public Council for defense and National Security
of Armenia is against the Armenian- Turkish Protocols, member of the
Council, director of the Armenian Center for Basic Sciences Simon
Kamsarakan told a press conference in Yerevan today.

Simon Kamsarakan commented on the statement made by the Public Council
Chair Vazgen Manukyan during the meeting with RA President Serzh
Sargsyan, that all 12 chairmen welcome the Protocols. According to
Simon Kamsarakan, Vazgen Manukyan’s statement is untrue, since the
12 chairmen can not express the views of all members of the Public
Council, having over 1500 members.

"October 18 during a regular meeting of the Council, I made the
following proposal – to convene a meeting to discuss Vazgen Manukyan,"
Simon Kamsarakan said. He intends to appeal to the President of Armenia
to request Manukyan’s resignation from the post of the Public Council
chair, and to go to law.
