PRESIDENT OF ARMENIA DISSATISFIED WITH PASSIVITY OF ARMENIAN COMMUNITY OF SYRIA IN ECONOMY AND INVESTMENT

ArmInfo. The friendship and mutual respect of the Armenian and Syrian
nations proves that inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue in
the region and worldwide is possible, President of Armenia Serzh
Sargsyan said during his joint press-conference with President of
Syria Bashar al-Assad.

THis is an example of how people should live in peace and cooperate
in trade and economy. Sargsyan pointed out the big role of the
Armenian community of Syrian in the development of Armenian-Syrian
relations. In politics and culture they are quite active but in
economy and investment they are not.

There is big potential and we must use it for the benefit of our
nations, Sargsyan said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
