Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki will visit Germany to
discuss key developments in the region particularly in the Caucasus.

"Manouchehr Mottaki’s visit is a continuation of his recent trips to
Russia and Azerbaijan and is directed at holding consultation with
his German counterpart on leading regional developments and helping
establish peace and stability in the energy-rich Caucasus region,"
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hassan Qashqavi told reporters
Monday.

The Iranian foreign minister paid separate visits to Moscow and Baku
on Friday and Saturday and held talks with his Russian counterpart
Sergei Lavrov and Azeri President Ilham Aliyev.

Aliyev has backed an Iranian proposal for regional countries to hold
constructive dialogue on Caucasus issues, saying that productive
talks will help the Caucasus region to achieve political stability
without the help of foreign countries.

Qashqavi said that Iran and Germany would possibly exchange views on
mutual relations. The visit will take place later Monday.

Meanwhile, the Armenian Foreign Minister, Edward Nalbandian, will
arrive in Tehran Tuesday to discuss the Caucasus events with senior
Iranian officials, he added.

The spokesman stressed that it is necessary for countries in the
region to reach a common understanding based on dialogue to find
appropriate solutions to regional issues.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
