EDWARD NALBANDIAN CONTINUES RECEIVING CONGRATULATIONS

YEREVAN, APRIL 19, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Foreign Minister Edward
Nalbandian continues receiving congratulations on his appointment.

Armenian Foreign Ministry press service told Armenpress that Catholicos
of All Armenians Karekin II particularly wrote in his congratulatory
message, "During Your activity in the diplomatic field You have
contributed to the effective implementation of our country’s foreign
policy. We wish You success in Your devoted activity and health to
You and Your family."

The foreign minister also received congratulations from the primate
of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Church and speaker of the
Karabakh parliament.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also congratulated his Armenian
counterpart. In his message he wished success to the Armenian minister
in his responsible activity for the sake of consolidation of position
of the Armenia’s foreign policy and further development of relations
between the two countries.

German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier wished his Armenian
counterpart success and great strength to overcome the new and
responsible issues.

He assured that Germany will continue supporting Armenia on its way
forward and in continuing reforms.

Chinese Foreign Minister pointed out that he is ready together with
E. Nalbandian consolidate cooperation between the foreign ministries of
the two countries, carry out the arrangements reached between Armenian
and Chinese leaders for bringing the Armenian-Chinese relations in
a new level.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babajan also congratulated Armenian
foreign minister on his appointment. In his message he particularly
wrote, "I am sure that Your rich experience in diplomatic field
will have valuable contribution to the foreign policy of Your
country. Turkey is ready to work for regulation of relations between
our two countries. I frankly believe that together we will be able
to use the opportunities of new political developments to start
purposeful dialogue for reaching the result we are seeking for."

Edward Nalbandian also received congratulations from his Iranian,
Greek, Turkmen and Artsakh counterparts.

CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha, Chairman of the Board
of Trustees of the Armenian Assembly of America Hrayr Hovnanian,
Director of the European Office of the Armenian Cause Hilda Choboyan,
Chairman of the Coordinating Council of French Armenian Organizations
Alexis Govchian also sent their congratulations to the minister.
