BAKU: Opening Of Azerbaijan’s Representation In Israel To Be Discuss

OPENING OF AZERBAIJAN’S REPRESENTATION IN ISRAEL TO BE DISCUSSED IN BAKU

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend K.Ramazanova / The Vice Prime Minister
of Israel, Avigdor Lieberman, briefed the media on 16 August in Baku
that the issue of opening Azerbaijan’s representation in Israel will
be discussed in Baku.

He stressed that because trade relations between the two countries
are successfully developing, this could entail an embassy or trade
representation of Azerbaijan to Israel. Lieberman stated that terrorism
will be one of the important topics of discussion during his official
visit to Azerbaijan.

Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,
the Vice Prime Minister of Israel said that his Country recognizes
the sovereignty of Azerbaijan. According to him, the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict should be resolved through talks.

Later Lieberman will meet with Artur Rasizadeh, the Head of the
Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, and Nazim Ibrahimov, Chairman of
the State Commission on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad.

On 17 August, Lieberman will hold a meeting with Valeh Alaskarov,
the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament and Heydar Babayev,
the Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development, as well as attending
the opening ceremony of the Israeli Cultural-Informative Centre. He
will also visit Krasnaya Slaboda village of Guba region of Azerbaijan,
and meet with the representatives of the European communities in
Azerbaijan.
