NKR PRESIDENT RECEIVED REPRESENTATIVES OF AZERI INTELLIGENTSIA

June 28 the Nagorno-Karabagh President Arkady Ghoukassian
received a delegation of the Armenian and Azeri intelligentsia’s
representatives. RA Ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatian and
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu were in the
delegation.

According to the information DE FACTO received at the NKR President’s
Press Office, in the course of the meeting held with the participation
of Artsakh’s intelligentsia the interlocutors had discussed necessity
of establishing a dialogue and mutual confidence between the peoples
and societies of the conflicting parties.

Addressing those present Arkady Ghoukassian mentioned the importance
of the ambassadors’ initiative, stating it might create a healthy and
constructive atmosphere in the Karabagh conflict settlement process.

The state’s President reaffirmed the Karabagh party’s stand, according
to which artificially circulated intolerance and calls to war hampered
the problem settlement.

The meeting’s participants expressed hope that the dialogue being
formed between the representatives of intelligentsia would be continued
in future.
