THE WOMEN’S SPIRITUAL SEMINAR DRAWS TO AN END

This year’s Armenian women’s weekly spiritual and prayer sessions
organized by the Christian Education Department of the Catholicosate of
Cilicia concluded on May 29. On this occasion, the women sang hymns and
expressed their gratitude for the opportunity given to them throughout the
year.

"We always are the students of our centuries-old Holy Church. That is why
we have come we have come to receive our spiritual nourishment from the
Mother Church of the Catholicosate of Cilicia," they said.

After the last session held in the cathedral, the director of the
Christian Education Department, Rev. Fr. Torkom Donoyan said: "Although we
temporarily part from each other today, the spiritual education we received
from Antelias will keep our hearts attached to God, our Church and to one
another."

A brief reception followed, during which the attendants said goodbye to
one another with the hope of meeting again at the beginning of the next
year.

Around 200 women participated in the spiritual session held in Antelias in
this year.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
